Air Conditioning and Heating System Repair:

Spring is the perfect time to recharge the air conditioner in your car. If, during the winter, your car's heater was not producing heat or seemed to produce less heat than normal, then have your heating system checked out too.

Winter is hard on car air conditioners, belts, and refrigerant. Part of spring maintenance for your car should include inspection of belts, hoses, and air conditioning recharging. Sometimes your car's AC works but it does not seem to provide enough cold air. That is a sign that your refrigerant needs to be recharged.

Air Conditioning Recharge

We perform professional AC recharges and remove the old coolant from your AC system. "Off the shelf" AC recharge kits will simply add more coolant to your system and can cause damage from over pressurization. AA Auto Tech will perform environmentally safe AC recharges on your car's AC system that will allow you to feel very cold air on hot summer days.

Air Conditioning Replacement:

The air conditioner on your car is made up of a compressor, condenser, receiver drier or accumulator, evaporator, and an orifice tube. Any one of these pieces of your system can fail if not properly maintained. Signs and symptoms that your AC needs to be repaired or replaced are:

•Leaking. If you inspect your AC unit and see that it looks corroded or that there is fresh liquid around joints, seams, or ports, your system is leaking.

•Fins and tubes are damaged. Air must flow through the system so if the fins are clogged, broken, or corroded then your system needs to be repaired or replaced.

•It makes noise or does not produce cold air. The AC unit on your car should not make noise. If it is clanking, growling, howling, whistling or producing a high pitched squeal, your car probably needs its air conditioner replaced.

To schedule a diagnostic of AC problems, just call us or bring your car by our shop. We are happy to answer all of your car related questions.
